Invisalign® Philadelphia, Fastbraces® Philadelphia
Crooked teeth are a common problem. Traditionally, straightening a misaligned smile could only be accomplished through months of wearing shiny metal braces that scrape and irritate the skin, catch and trap bits of food, and occasionally break, necessitating an emergency trip to the orthodontist for repair. Now, there are two alternative to metal braces that involve significantly less hassle. Available at our Center City, Philadelphia practice, Fastbraces® and Invisalign® aligners offer a whole new way to achieve straight and even teeth.

Clear, Comfortable, Invisalign® Aligners
The Invisalign® system uses a series of custom-fabricated clear plastic aligners. Each of the aligners is designed to push the teeth into a slightly straighter position than the one before it. On average, each aligner is worn for two weeks, although this period (as well as the overall treatment time) will depend on the degree and type of straightening to be done.Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign® aligners can be removed for eating, brushing, and flossing. They are also designed to fit comfortably, with no rough or sharp edges to scratch or tear the skin inside the mouth.
While the aligners are being worn, they are virtually unnoticeable. They are designed to fit snugly and allow the natural color and shape of the teeth to remain visible. This makes the system especially popular with adults, who may feel self-conscious about their crooked teeth but not be willing to undergo treatment with traditional braces.
Patented Triangular Brackets for Straight Teeth Really Fast!
At Dentistry For Life in Center City, Philadelphia, Dr. Barry Dubin is proud to be the only dentist in the area who is trained and qualified to offer the proven, safe Fastbraces® system. Fastbraces® works on a different mechanical principle altogether. Traditional braces move the crown of the tooth in the first year, and the root of the tooth in the second year, thus requiring about two years of treatment. Fastbraces® are specifically designed to move the crown and root of the teeth at the same time, from the beginning of the treatment. Patients can now get results often with less sensitivity, in about a year, and in some instances, just a few months.
